Bench Strength Analysis

Bench strength analysis is a metric used to gauge the number of successors are possible for any given position.
It also helps keep a good view of how the company’s talent pipeline looks. In a given succession plan, each
position may have a number associated with each position indicating how many candidates are possible to fill
that position. This can be used to fill vacancies as well as identify areas to train employees. In larger
organizations, the bench strength of a position may have a high value, whereas a smaller company might have
a low number for bench strength so outside recruitment of talent will be needed.

promotions. Succession management metrics may be what management uses to determine the candidates for positions
